Emily is a college student striving to gain a degree in Music Education. Emily offers music lessons on a variety of different instruments, matching an individual’s skill level and musical goals with her background and knowledge of musicianship. Whether trying to gain up a chair in band, starting an instrument later in life, or just trying to learn songs/instruments for fun, Emily will welcome you with an open-minded and patient approach, committed to your musical success!

Serving the East Bay Area, I can travel to you! (Concord, Pleasant Hill, Hercules, Vallejo, Berkeley)
Emily offers in-person music lessons on beginner to advanced Oboe, English Horn, Saxophone (Tenor, Alto, Soprano), Bass Guitar, Composition, and Conducting. As well as beginner Trumpet, Jazz Saxophone, Flute, and intermediate Non-Pitched Percussion.
$40 for 30-minute lessons
$70 for 1-hour lessons
$520 for 14 1-hour lessons
Lessons are to be weekly or bi-weekly!
Policies
Please keep in mind that by attending lessons with Emily, all students (or parents, in the case of a student under the age of 18) agree to abide by the following policies:
Tuition
No make-up lessons, refunds, or prorating will be given for lessons missed without at least 24 hours’ notice (by phone or email) before the scheduled lesson time.
24 Hour Cancellation Notice
Make-up lessons will be subject to my availability. Make-up lessons must occur no more than 30 days after the initial absence. There can be no more than 1 make-up lesson in any given month. Notification of vacations must be at least 2-weeks in advance.
Make-Up Lessons
In the case of unforeseen circumstances when a 24-hour cancellation notice is not possible, tuition remains non-refundable. Make-up lessons may be offered at my discretion.
Emergencies
The initial payment of the first month’s tuition is necessary to reserve a weekly lesson time. Tuition for a given month is due in full on the 1st of that month. Students are responsible for all monthly tuition fees incurred from the lesson start date (as indicated below) until 30 days after a written cancellation notice is received. Tuition is not guaranteed as refundable, even in the case of mid-month cancellations or emergency absences.
Withdrawal
A 1-week notice is required to withdraw from monthly lessons. Cancellation notices must be sent via text or email. Students are responsible for prorated tuition fees for up to 30 days after the date of cancellation. Tuition payment is never refunded for discontinuation of lessons mid-month. Missed lessons not already made up will not be refundable upon withdrawal.
